Timothy Lomakin

Chief Executive Officer

While many children dream of someday flying an airplane, with the help of his father, Timothy began piloting at the age of eight. His passion for flying continued to grow throughout his childhood as he began to train professionally at Flight Safety International at the age of twelve. Watching his father create a successful air carrier operation, and seeing the excitement of charter pilots first hand cemented his desire to pursue aviation professionally.

With aviation in the family business Timothy was able to achieve many important milestones quickly. At the age of sixteen he took his first solo flight at John Wayne Airport. Once his career began, he became a line captain at the age of twenty-three. Timothy then became a Chief Pilot, a position he attained at age of twenty-six, where he managed the flight crews, supervised the training program, and acted as a liaison with the Federal Aviation Administration.

With over 10,000 flight hours, the FAA certified Timothy to be an FAA approved check airman in 2013. He then continued his career advancement as a Director of Operations overseeing 130 personnel ranging from pilots, flight attendants, maintenance coordinators, operations coordinators, and administrative staff to run heavy jet flight operations around the world. From 2017 to 2019, Timothy was selected to serve as an Honorary Commander of the United States Air Force where he mentored the future aviators in and out of the United States Military.

After starting and running other successful FAA 135 certificates and 145 Repair Stations, Timothy embarked on the journey of sole ownership and began Foundation Aviation in 2020. With 20 years of experience as a professional aviator, Timothy is dedicated to his pursuit of excellence in aviation and sharing that passion with the aviation community.

Timothy lives in Orange County, California with his wife Alissa where they are raising their three children. He enjoys training and competing as a CrossFit athlete. He also enjoys studying American and world history.
